Mescal and Don Taylor
are designers of artistic jewelry made mostly in silver with handmade
Lampwork beads. We are a husband and wife team that have been in many
successful retail art businesses in California for over 43 years.
Taylor’s Art Center/Taylor’s Frame Shop/Taylor’s Gallery with locations in
Stockton, Sacramento and North Sacramento.
We take pride in our
simple designs that reflect an artistic presentation. Our name is MESCAL
which is my name, a family name of Native American origin. My grandfather
named my Aunt Mescal from a Zane Gray novel.
After our retirement,
from retail, in 2002 we sold our Artist Supply and Framing Stores and have
been exploring the many uses of Silver and Handmade Lampwork Beads used in
jewelry making. We have been expanding our line over the last 3 years and
feel it is starting to represent what we want.
We have been selling
our jewelry to select stores and galleries located in California and
Oregon for the last three years. We are
represented exclusively on Maui by Sargent’s Fine Jewelry and Gallery in
Lahaina, Maui Hawaii. On Oahu by Cina Cina in Honolulu at the Royal
Hawaiian Hotel. At Jeannie's Jewelry in Sacramento.
If you do not live
near one of the retailers representing our jewelry, please contact us for
availability and prices. We will be happy to place your order by
phone!
Mescal Designs had a
one person show at Sargent’s in May of 2006. We've showed at the
Crocker Art Festival and occasional appearances during Trunk Shows at Jeannie's
Jewelry in Sacramento.
Thank you for
considering our line of jewelry.
We would be proud to have you wearing one
of our pieces. |
